March Haul 3

You guys seriously didn't think I wouldn't buy any accessories did you?

I saw this rhinestone bracelet at Charming Charlie and had to have it. I don't even care that it's huge on my tiny wrists. I'm totally embracing the bigger the better trend.

I haven't shopped at Charlotte Russe in over a year. There's something about my nearest store that trips me out. Could be the horrible customer service and disorganization but I digress. I did happen to stop by and saw these set of skinny belts marked down for .50. I kid you not these were only two quarters and I wasn't sure if they were marked wrong but I wasn't complaining. So head over there and see if you get the same deal.

TJ Maxx is a hit or miss with me but boy did I get lucky. (Speaking of lucky did anyone but a lotto ticket?) I snagged these comfy Minnetonka moccasins for $30. They retail for $54 so I'm pretty satisfied. I've been wearing these babies almost everyday because they are so darn comfy!

What are your March purchases? What do you plan on getting next month?

Quick update

In a previous post I talked about the Wet N Wild Lust Desir palette. I just want to show you the swatches. I swiped the eye shadows twice without primer.

I love these colors and I've been reaching for these more often than I thought I would. However keep in mind that without primer they don't stick on to your lids very long but other than that, it's all good.

Sephora VIB Chic Week

Sephora rarely does any sales but this week they are letting V.I.B. members and a friend get 15% off on anything in store or online! Of course I had to stop by today with my mom and get my free bag of samples and full size umbrella.

I picked up the new Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Alaska. I had to ask the sales associate why Nars didn't simply say it's a BB cream and she explained that it does moisturize, cover blemishes, reduce discoloration, and has SPF 30 but it doesn't act as a primer. I've been using Missha's BB cream without any primer and it stays on at least 8 hours for me. I'm wondering how long Nars will last.

(Retail for $42. Bought it for $35.70)

I love getting free samples. I get to try out new beauty products and sometimes they last for 2 weeks. It comes in this stripe ziploc bag.

Bumble and bumble. thickening shampoo and thickening conditioner
(Retail $8-$57)

Sephora Full Action Extreme Effect mascara
(Retail $15)

Especially Escada solid perfume
(I think this is so adorable and it totally made this sample bag worth it)

Make Up For Ever Smoky Lash mascara
(Retail $22)

Givenchy Mister Light
(I'm intrigued by this one. Retail $33)

And finally Boscia BB cream
(Retail $38)

The sale lasts all this week till April 6 and there is no limit. I'm going to pick up a couple of other things tomorrow. Today it was way too packed and crazy for me to actually shop.

I'm thinking of picking up a couple of Edward Bess products. I've been hearing a lot of raves over them.

Are you buying anything? What do you have your eye on?

March Haul 2

I've wrote about the L'Oreal Infallible eye shadows before. They glide on your lids with vivid pigmentation and last without primer at least six hours. To add onto my growing collection I picked up Endless Pearl and Continuous Cocoa. They seem to be the only ones without any shimmer.

I was incredibly disappointed with these. They seem to be powdery and barely there. I thought at least the Continuous Cocoa would be rich and dark but instead it looks like ash.

Keep in mind that this is without primer so maybe that's all it needs. Still, the other eye shadows didn't need it.

(Sorry about using my hand to swatch. I know it looks a little funny but I was running out of arm space)

Wet N Wild always seem to have a good deal on their already low prices but this time Rite Aid has some eye palettes for 75% off. It's ridiculous. I managed to snag the last Lust Desir which has three matte and three shimmer colors. I'll update this post with the swatches of all the colors tomorrow morning. I can't do it right now because I'm dead tired and I'm typing this with one eye barely open.

I really wanted to post the new Schick Hydro Silk razor. It's strangely the most exciting thing I bought all this month. It's on sale at CVS for 10 bucks but you get 4 extrabucks back and there is a $4 coupon. So I bought them for $2. Crazy!

I'm not ashamed to say I don't use shave gel. I kept forgetting to use it so now I don't even bother. But this razor makes me realize that all my other razors were crap. Excuse my language. It comes with the razor, an extra refill, and a suction cup so you can place this in your shower. A suction cup...why didn't I think of this before? It's genius! And the best part is after I use this, I don't feel like I have to put on lotion.

Final Verdict:

L'Oreal Infallible eye shadow Continuous Cocoa and Endless Pearl- One word. Fail.
Wet n Wild Lust Desir eye palette- Lovely colors but we'll see how they look on the eyes.
Schick Hydro Silk razor- Can't get enough of this!

March Haul

Heads up, there are loads of pictures in this post. I stopped by Rite Aid today and was floored by all the 75% off signs. I'll post a list of all the sale items in case your Rite Aid hasn't put up all the signs yet.

I'm a horrible brow person. As in I never fill in my sparse eyebrows because I'm afraid of looking fake and bushy. But I need to change that some day so I picked this Ardell Brow Defining Kit. It comes with a brow defining palette, wax grooming pencil, and duo brow brush. Basically everything you need for $7. Well lucky me it's 75% off, making the final price $1.74.

I didn't have huge expectations but upon opening it up, I'm impressed. I love the sleek and simple packaging. It's not bulky making it travel friendly.

You can choose the color for your brows. I find the dark brown perfect for me but you can also blend two colors together to make it more natural for yourself. As for pigmentation, these come off very light and sheer but build able.

My favorite part about this kit is actually the wax pencil. It's small but effective and doesn't leave weird residue on the brows.

The cap has this awesome sharpener which I obviously haven't used yet. It's pretty cool that they included this.

I'm not sure if my duo brow brushes were meant to be separate but it's okay. I can live with that.

Prestige Lash Matrix mascara is also 75% off and I couldn't decide between the brown or the black so I got both. They are both waterproof and says it has a different spiral that's supposed to lift, lengthen, and add volume to your lashes. Each set comes with two mascaras. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to layer them or use them separately. We'll see I guess.

I couldn't help but add this in here. I got this as part of my samples and it's a full sized dual lip and cheek cream from Stilla. It's so small and cute and I just love using this on the go. Don't tell me you never put on make up in the car before.

The color is Peony (come on, even the name is pretty!) and in the compact it seems a little dark. When you put it on your cheeks it's just stunning. On the left I simply swiped it and on the right I blended it in. Just remember to use a light hand with this one. Now I've tried this on the lips and it didn't do much for me. It dried out my lips so I prefer to use it as a cream blush.

Of course I had to get some L'Oreal Colour Riche balms. I'm sure you all heard of these. I adore them! They are moisturizing, not sticky at all, and make my lips look like me but better. I have every shade but I needed more since my mom swiped them from me.

Whew! That was a long post but I have more coming up. I'm breaking it into parts.

Final Verdict:

Ardell Brow Defining Kit- It's a must have and I'm about to stock up. It's 2 bucks people.
Prestige Lash Matrix Mascara- I'm a little iffy with this. I'm going to have to test it out.
Stilla dual lip and cheek cream- I'm adding this to my holy grail collection. This is the sh**!
L'Oreal Colour Riche Lip Balms- Sheer but perfect for me.

Missha Pure Source Sheet Mask

I was lucky enough to try out Missha's Pure Source Sheet Mask in green tea and I have to say I'm really liking them. There's only one mask inside the packaging and it costs about $2. In my opinion that's a bit expensive since I have masks that cost me about 8 bucks and I get at least a month out of them.

However I have to say these are really refreshing on. It felt so nice on that I didn't want to take them off! When I finally did, I found it didn't strip my face of moisture and instead gave me smooth silky skin. It didn't do anything miraculous but it brightened up my complexion that was dragging a bit lately.

The directions are pretty easy to follow. Wash your face first and then put on the mask over dry skin. Wait for 15-20 minutes and then remove it. That's it!

Final Verdict:
I would like to buy the set and try more. It's not part of my holy grail collection but I like it.

Have you tried any of their masks before? What are your thoughts?
