Wet n Wild Coloricon 3 Palette Eye Shadows

I know what you're thinking. More Jessica? Do you really need more Wet n Wild eye shadows?

No but I bought them anyways.

I snagged all four neutral palettes that had. These are .99 at Walgreens right now so that makes each eye shadow only .33 which is the cheapest I've ever seen.

Edit- I think I may have confused a few people. I didn't get these palettes for .33 (although I wish I did). The palettes are .99 right now so I divided it by how many eye shadows come inside making each individual eye shadow .33. See what I mean? Sorry for the confusion!

If you notice in the 8 Coloricon palettes I reviewed last week, the order of eye shadows are different. It's first brow bone, crease, and then eyelid for the 3 palettes. The crease eye shadows are also smaller than the rest. It's not a big deal for me but I thought I'd point it out.

334 I'm Getting Sunburned

The brow bone is a shimmery lilac pink, the crease is a deep brown, and the eyelid is a beautiful gold. The pictures don't give this justice. One of my favorite things about Wet n Wild palettes are the colors actually work together. Separately each shadow is nice but together they are even better.

335 Silent Treatment

The brow bone is a very sheer opal pink, the crease is a deep brown, and the eyelid is a silver purple. The crease shadow in this one was chalky but the other two colors were wonderful. It's not too bad when you wear it with primer.

381B Sweet As Candy

The brow bone is a perfect white, the crease is a light taupe, and the eyelid is baby pink. These colors were my favorite and great for spring and summer. It's hard to find a really nice white brow bone shadow that doesn't come off as chalky and I think this is a real winner.

380 Walking On Eggshells

The brow bone is off white, the crease is another gorgeous taupe, and the eye lid is a light pink. This is another favorite and completely wearable during the day and night.

You've probably noticed that all the palettes look really similar to each other but none of these eye shadows are the same. In fact every single one of them are indeed different.

I swatched the eye shadows below so you can compare them.

Wet n Wild is my number one go to for affordable eye shadows. None of these palettes have let me down and the price is unbeatable.

To get the most wear and color payoff I always recommend using an eye primer.

Do you own any of the Wet n Wild Coloricon 3 Palette Eye Shadows? What are your thoughts?

Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss and Awards

I don't like lip gloss but I am always hoping I'll find one that will change my mind. These are not it.

I bought two brand new shades of Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Sizzle and Bellini. Packaging wise, I love the simple sleek bottle and the quilted detail on the cap. I also really like the flat applicator which for me makes it easy to apply.

Sizzle is on the left and Bellini is on the right

Bellini is a very milky pink color that looks weird on me by itself. I think it's way too light and I've been trying to use it on top of lipstick but I still don't like it for some reason. The color is similar to the Revlon Lip Butter Creamsicle but I like the Lip Butters more.

Sizzle in the bottle looks like a bright red/orange color but on the lips it seems more subdued. It's more wearable than I thought it would be and I can see this working for most skin tones.

These are still sticky because they are lip glosses after all but they're not too bad. You're hair will stick on your lips if the wind blows but it's not a fly trap either. My big gripe about these are the longevity. The color starts fading after a hour without drinking or eating anything. Unacceptable.

Overall I might repurchase Revlon Colorburst Lipgloss in Sizzle but I'll pass Bellini.

What do you think about the new shades?

And in other news I was nominated for two awards! First was the Sunshine Award by In Her Daydream and another Versatile Award by Rae-Rae. Thank you so much for showing me love and I hope you guys check them out. As much as I appreciated the awards, I'm going to bend the rules (can I do that?) and simply nominate other people.

Victoria Secret Heartbreaker

Ugh. I know I'm super late posting this deal but at least you have three days to go get it. Victoria Secret is having a special with their new Heartbreaker! Plunge bras. If you buy one of them ($34.50-46.50) you get a free Victoria Secret Pink Essential v-neck tee. They also send people who sign up for their email listing free Heartbreaker panty and $10.00 off any bra. On top of that you can combine any Secret Reward cards in stores.

So I got a t-shirt, bra, and matching underwear for about 10 bucks. I don't know about you but I love getting deals like this.

Would you like me to write a review on this bra or would that be TMI?

Wet n Wild Coloricon 8 Eyeshadow Palettes

Here's my review on the Wet n Wild Coloricon 8 eyeshadow palettes.

Hurry up and buy these. The end.

Okay you need more persuasion then here you go.

I bought the 737 Blue Had Me At Hello and 738 Comfort Zone. These have been out since last year I think but they still have the "new" sticker on the side which is a little odd to me. But that's not the problem. The problem is it keeps running out at all my stores!

Here is 737 Blue Had Me At Hello

I swatched the eye shadows from the left side first. They don't list any names for the specific color but they have it categorized.

The brow bone is an interesting light silver frost, the eyelid is silver, the crease is dark blue, and the definer is a matte black.

The pigmentation is fabulous for all of these 4 colors but as you can see below, the royal blue crease is incredibly dark. I wish the blue would stand out more but oh well.

I love playing with the right side of this palette.

The brow bone is a gorgeous light blue frost which I haven't seen before, the eyelid is a very vivid teal, the crease is a true deep blue, and the definer is black with lots of sparkle.

The only problem I had was with the sparkly definer at the bottom. It's chalky but one out of eight eye shadows is a pretty good ratio.

Next up is probably my favorite palette. I would even say I like it more than high end brands like Urban Decay. Yeah I said it.

738 Comfort Zone

These were incredibly soft for me and easy to blend. I adore every color on the left side and they coordinate so well with each other.

The brow bone is a light shimmery gold, the eyelid looks almost like rose gold to me, the crease is a lovely light brown/almost taupe, and the definer is a true dark brown.

These have wonderful payoff and great if you love a neutral everyday eye.

The brow bone is a stunning tan, the eyelid is a light green, the crease is a mix of both dark green and gold, and the definer is just amazing.

The definer is a duo chrome mix of red, brown, and plum. It's really spectacular on it's own.

So do you need this? Yes.

I recommend using a primer for these eye shadows. The color is even better and they last all day.

They retail for $4.99 but it's 40% off right now at Rite Aid.

What do you think of the Wet n Wild Coloricon 8 Eyeshadow Palettes? Do you own any of them?

Revlon 2012 Photoready Cream Blushes

Do you have any trigger words that whenever you hear them, you just want to buy it? I have a few and "cream blush" is one of them. I just love how most of them glide onto your cheeks without drying and give a beautiful glow.

So of course I picked up the Revlon 2012 Photoready Cream Blushes in all three colors, Pinched, Flushed, and Coral.

These retail for $12.99 which is high for a drugstore product but they have a pretty good discount right now at CVS. Spend $10 on any Revlon cosmetic and get $4 back and you can combine any coupons that come in the newspapers.

Lets first talk about packaging. They come in simple plastic containers that fit on the palm of your hand. Super easy to store and to travel with which is a huge plus for me.

100 Pinched

200 Flushed

300 Coral

I thought that these blushes would be really pigmented but they turned out to be very sheer. I swatched at least three times for some color to show up on my arm.

I thought at least Flushed and Coral would be really bright on the face but again they seemed to have a barely there look. I think it's perfect for people who want a very natural blush (especially using Pinched) and at the same time wanting to experiment with different colors and still not go over the top.

Personally I would like to have more pigmentation.

These did last for about 6 hours for me before I had to retouch. Note that most cream blushes won't stick to your cheeks as long as powder blushes because the skin absorbs creams faster.

Overall I like the Revlon Photoready Cream Blushes but I wouldn't say they are a must have on my list.

Have you tried any of them? What do you think?

Drugstore Craze and Bon Look

So armed with a $25 gift card and extra bucks I bought a whole bunch of brand new 2012 drugstore goodies. Are you ready for the unveiling?

This is just half of what I got. I've been testing almost all of them so I'll review all the products in separate posts. I just wanted to show you a sneak peek.

Oh and my brand new Bon Look glasses have arrived! This was my first time ordering prescription glasses online and from this company. I absolutely love them and the deal I got for 50% off!

They came fairly quickly, about 2 weeks after I ordered them and their customer service was top notch. I bought the Robinson and McQueen in black for about $45 each which is unheard of. They normally sell for $99 each. They do charge an extra $30 for ultra thin lens which I opted for. I consider myself close to being blind (I'm -6.5).

The glasses come with a sleek case and cloth inside.

It was actually pretty hard for me to take a picture of them for some reason but here you go. I wanted to show you the difference in size isn't really that big. Robinson is the smallest frame size they had for both women and men while McQueen is listed as medium.

The frames are made of handmade acetate which is a high quality plastic so it's not the plastic you find at the dollar store. I've been wearing these everyday since I received them and I have to say I adore these. I've been getting so many compliments and they feel so comfortable on because they are so light.

I love that Bon Look ships all their glasses with the environment in mind. They are part of the Carbon Neutral Program of UPS and use Green Shipping which is awesome.

They sell sunglasses too!

Honestly I can't find anything negative to say about this company. I will definitely order from them again.

What are your thoughts?

Leisure Wear

Sorry for the mess in the background. I've been redecorating our place and have a couple projects going on including making my own headboard.

I haven't done an outfit post in awhile so I'll do one now. I love pairing things from one season to another. Over sized sweaters and shorts are always comfy in my book. I added a statement necklace and some wedges to elevate the look (no pun intended).

Even with the new season I really don't like wearing flats. I'm 5'0 or 4'11, depends on who's measuring, and I feel so much more put together with at least a kitten heel. So I've been eyeing some wedges and bought some on sale at DSW.

Anyone else a wedge lover?
